Suppose you drew out an ellipse of an arbitrary size on a sheet of paper and then taking a compass set at the vertex ( the "top" of the ellipse as it were ) you scribe an arc so that it cuts the ellipse. Is there a formula for knowing in coordinates at what point the circumference will be cut?
Thanks Michael
