Tamas--

If you go to http://www.learner.org you can view the complete
Annenberg/CPB Math and Science video collection. If you wish, you can
call 800-965-8383
to order free previews which include an overview of the video library
and one complete video module.

At the same site you can get information about the Annenberg/CPB
Channel. They broadcast the entire video collection as well as free
workshops for k-12 math and science teachers. They will even let you
record, duplicate, and rebroadcast all of the programs on the Channel.
If you want to go directly to the information on the workshop series,
the url is
http://www.learner.org/channel/workshops/math/. Starting last Tuesday
is a new workshop series (of 8 over 8 weeks) for k-5 math and science
teachers entitled, "The Next Move." This series of workshops is
intended to help teachers take some very concrete steps toward improving
instruction. Descriptions of all of the workshop series are at the
Channel web site, as is the broadcast schedule.

There also is a list of all broadcasters so you can see if the Channel
is already coming to you via a PBS station, a cable channel or a school
or district channel. If you have questions about the Channel you can
call Nicole Stark at 800-228-8030 or correspond with her via the web.

Included in the collection--as mentioned by Anna--are video libraries
showing unrehearsed, unscripted--but edited for length--programs of
elementary, middle, and high school teachers. All of the math libraries
are produced by WGBH and are based on the NCTM Standards. The videos
are intended to provoke discussion rather than present models, though
the teachers are very good.

We'll be having sessions at the AMTE conference in Chicago on the math
libraries and on the Channel in case you want to know more about the
video collection or the Channel

Hope this helps.
