In my work with the International Congress of Mathematics Educators I have been very impressed with the research about education which as come out of other countries. In fact, I've been much impressed with the friendliness and cooperation among these educators, both mathematicians and mathematics educators. Those who have the opportunity of attending ICME 2000 in Japan will see what I mean.
And, many countries in our small world are interested in reform in mathematics education.
