Ambiguity or Prejudice Pigs

Okay, recently here in australia, i did a mathematics exam. there was one question asking this, word for word..
... "360 is divided into a ratio of 2:3, what is the value of a smaller part"
so i put 72 because there is specifically 5 parts, 360 dividing by 5 would be 72... correct?
but my teacher and my fellow classmates insist on the answer being 144 because they have multiplied by 2.
please shed some light, and judgement onto this issue
thankyou
ht,
