my example was wrong, here is the corrected copy:

{name}={Table[{10*Random[],10*Random[]},{5}]}
{{{7.46953, 8.71183}, {3.99188, 4.64641},
{0.724589, 9.69797}, {9.12416, 0.452323},
{1.74913, 1.73868}}}
Flatten[name]
{7.46953, 8.71183, 3.99188, 4.64641, 0.724589,
9.69797, 9.12416, 0.452323, 1.74913, 1.73868}
some=Partition[Flatten[name],2]
{{7.46953, 8.71183}, {3.99188, 4.64641},
{0.724589, 9.69797}, {9.12416, 0.452323},
{1.74913, 1.73868}}
