Pre and Post Assessments

I am curious: what are other districts using for pre and post assessments for next year's appr? I am wondering how smaller districts are handling the "all assessments are secure and ... are not scored by teachers and principals with a vested interest in the outcome of the assessments they score." I have been told at various trainings that we cannot write or grade our own post assessments - this poses problems when you only have one person in the department that teaches a particular course. Does anyone have any pre/post assessments for the upper level courses - PreCalc, Calc, AP Stats, etc, that they would be willing to share or suggestions on how you are handling this? Thanks for any ideas.
