I believe in another post you have found the parametric equalizer that ships with the R2012a Run on Target Hardware Beagleboard capability... If you update diagram you will see that uses frames, and you can further explore signal dimensions Format->port/signal displays... For more information on using frames, you can see:

And there is alot of good information in shipping demos too within Simulink, DSP System Toolbox.
