I claim that most societies in the world are already multi-cultural in nature, and all societies are in fact headed that way. Cultures inevitably mix and marry and change and develop; this is an integral part of human evolution.

I challenge Haim (and his cohorts and consorts) to demonstrate otherwise.

I accept that it is not easy at all for people of one culture to accept the practices of other cultures. It is often extremely difficult for people of any culture to live in close proximity with people of other cultures.

When they are forced to thus live in close proximity, there are often breakdowns in communication between the members of the different cultures. There are breakdowns in acceptance by each culture of the 'other' culture.

Often such breakdowns lead to violence between the members of the different cultures, sometimes even horrendous violence.

However, I claim there is no way the world (or any part of it) can go back to being 'mono-cultural'.

I challenge Haim (and his cohorts and consorts) to demonstrate otherwise.

I also claim that effective education can lead to better understanding by individual members of various cultures of the 'other' cultures.

In time, people generally find that the practices of the 'other' cultures are, usually, not that objectionable. There are instances where members of various cultures have understandingly moderated (and even sometimes ceased) cultural practices that disturbed members of the 'other' cultures.

I challenge Haim (and his cohorts and consorts) to demonstrate otherwise.

I further claim that Haim has resoundingly lost his challenge claiming the 'non-existence of pedagogy in the teaching and learning of math' - or for that matter, of any subject. The teaching and learning of every subject must always see continuing development - and this is in fact happening all around us all the time. This too is a part of human evolution. I challenge Haim (and his cohorts and consorts) to demonstrate otherwise.
