Compiler issue

Hi,
I would like to use 64bit version of Matlab 2012b and also xpc target 5.3. I think now xpc explorer supports 64 bit matlab. However when i install matlab, the c compiler is set as microsoft visual studio under x86 (32 bit directory). I also installed windows sdk for 64 bit but i couldn't change the compiler from 32 bit to 64 bit one. In order to use xPC target in external mode, what should I do?
Another issue is, I tried to connect the target pc via ethernet using a crossover cable. The connection worked for 32 bit matlab under Windows xp. However, I cannot connect to target pc in Win 7 64 bit. Crossover Cable surely works as i tested it. Ethernet card of the target is supported by xpc. I created a boot CD and target pc boots up ok with that cd. But Host pc cannot find the target. What can be the problem?
Thanks
