Vectorial inclusions inter

Hi all,
I want to do the following : let's have :
X=[3 3 Y=[1 3 11 11 10 12 17 17 17 24 24 24 29 35 33 35 41 46 51 51 51 58 57 58 60 65 64 65]; 73 79];
In this example, X and Y have same size (2*8) but consider that in a general context they may have different colums but always same lines : 2 lines. So, I will call an "event" a line from X : [3 3] is an event, [33 35] is an event and so on. But I need those events to be "intervals" of integers : [3 3] = {3} for example, [33 35] = {33, 34, 35}. Then, I need to find in Y the corresponding event of integers in which an event from X is included. For example [3 3] is included in [1 3] , [11 11] is included in [10 12] because 11 belongs to {10,11,12}=[10 12]. And finally I need to store in Z the results :
Z=[3 3 1 3 11 11 10 12 17 17 17 24 ect...]
Would you know how to do this ?
