I'll be teaching accelerated 8th grade this year. Last year, the students had some bits and pieces of 8th grade and algebra, but nothing organized. I'll need to cover both courses in one year and prepared them for both state exam. My school had decided to adopt the modules.
I'm looking for a little advice - Do I use the Algebra modules and do some mini-units before each to catch them up on the missing 8th grade material? Are there some 8th grade modules that I should do in their entirety?
If anyone else is in the same situation, I would love to talk.
