Question Experiment 1:

Imagine a line infinitely long in both directions. Take a pair of scissors, cut it and push the two sections apart one foot. Insert a foot long line. Is the line now one foot longer than infinity?

Question Experiment 2:

Consider a dimensionless point on a plane. Stretch the plane to twice its width and length. Does this mean that the point has twice the width it had before?

My name is David Elkins. I came up with these two questions and would like to know what people think of them. I have a blog at the address www.davidelkins777.wordpress.com on Wordpress. I only have a few posts up so far and most of them are on other topics. Thanks,
