I generated target matrix based on the input matrix to be used in neural network toolbox. My input matrix is composed of 6 sets of patterns that I want to be classified later. they are in a matrix of size 5*3600. every 600 columns in a row shows one pattern, so I have 600*6=3600 columns. My target matrix has also the same order 6*3600. My question is: when Matlab divides the data randomly for training/testing/validation, does it change the order of target accordingly or not? What is the best dividing practice then?
