Is there any way to force MATLAB to re-read in the history.xml file? I am using DropBox to synchronize my history.xml files on multiple computers. MATLAB seems to only ever append this file, not overwrite it, so this works wonderfully. I can run commands on either computer and the history.xml has commands from both. But MATLAB doesn't refresh the commands in the command history window until you restart MATLAB. Is there a command that I can run to make MATLAB refresh the History window like it would do upon startup? I don't want to have to close and restart MATLAB every time I work on another computer , because I have issues with saving my large workspaces. If I try to use v7.3 format, the variables come out 100 times too big and take too long to save and load. That's some serious overhead!

It's got to be in one of these internal matlab commands. For example, to show the history window the command is com.mathworks.mde.desk.MLDesktop.getInstance.showCommandHistory;

Where is the loadCommandHistory command?

Thank you
