Many pictures of Penrose tiles can be found in the book Tilings and Patterns
by Grunbaum and Shephard, W.H. Freeman. Pg 531-550 contains a detailed
discussion and many pictures. For a more recent discussion of aperiodic
tiles see Discrete and Computational Geometry, Vol 8, pg 1-25. A popular
account of the penrose tiles occurs in the Martin Gardner column, Sci.
Amer. Jan. l977.
