Discussion of adding drawing program stuff to FTP server

Michael Thwaites (mjt@stubbs.ucop.edu) recently posed to me the following question, and I thought I would post it and my plans to the Forum and get some feedback from others.
Michael: A member of (subscriber to ?) the forum and I have already send each other Cabri-Geometry figures and macros directly. Is there a place for public figures/macro's on the FTP server? If so, I assume there would be a place for Sketchpad users also. There is even this third program "Inventor" that might be worthwhile supporting - although we could wait for the demand.
As I told Michael, he's just a step ahead of the game. This has been the plan since the beginning, we just hadn't done it yet. I think we were waiting for some more discussion on the topic on the Forum. Why wait?
We're thinking of making another directory on the ftp server called drawing.programs. This will contain subdirectories for each of the geometry drawing programs folks are interested in. Files will be stored in compressed and binhexed form, usually as self-extracting archives. We will store both sketches and scripts/macros, possibly in separate subdirectories if supply warrants it.
I suppose we could also have available any activities using these programs that teachers may wish to share.
These are my initial thoughts after talking with Michael about this a bit last night. I'll probably create these directories this week, and will announce when they're ready, but let's have some more input from folks as to what y'all want to see there.
