The Third Midwestern Geometry Conference is tentatively scheduled for
Friday, 30 April to Sunday, 2 May 1993
at Mizzou, the Columbia campus of the University of Missouri. The aim
of the conference is to give geometers in the midwest a chance to keep
abreast of activity in the field; also grad students are encouraged to
attend.
We plan to have four plenary talks of one hour each and a number of
contributed talks of fifteen to twenty minutes each (with much time
left over for informal discussion). At this point, Jose F. Escobar,
Samuel Goldberg, John Lott and Jon Wolfson have accepted invitations
to give plenary talks.
Grad students: We are hoping to have background/discussion and/or
question/answer sessions for grad students.
Accommodations: Details will be given in the next circular.
Travel support: A limited amount of funding of travel expenses may be
available. Grad students and new Ph.D.'s without grants will be given
special consideration. Details will be announced when available.
