Kim mentioned that there might be some intolerance engendered by/from the
Standards towards who wins the PAESMT. It might be surprising to know that
I won the PAESMT with my application document extolling the virtues of
whole group instruction and direct instruction of mathematical notation. I
don't think those things are anethema to the NCTM Standards, but I think
some people think they are and will be surprised that I managed to win.
