Math Placement Diagnostic Testing

I am a recent subscriber to this mailing list and have been very interested
in the topics which are being discussed here. I presently teach CPM (change
from within) Math 2 (geometry) in California. Our school also teaches Math 1
(algebra) and Math A (pre-algebra). I am looking for a placement test for
mathematics. I already have information about the MDTP but am not interested
in sending our tests out to be graded. We are a very small school (55
students), and it seems silly to do this in such a formal way. We are
meeting as a staff to discuss how our current curriculum meets the NCTM math
standards on April 17th, and at that time I would also like to present a
placement test for consideration. Does anyone out there know of any other
diagnostic tests which can be graded on-site and which are new enough to
assess those skills which we who embrace the new standards are looking for?

I would appreciate any input. I'll post any results to this mailing list.
