<I realize this next statement is sacrilege, but since when is teaching
"in the trenches" defined by NOT teaching at a college or university?
Last time I checked, every teaching assignment presents many difficulties
and challenges. There are trade-offs all over the place. Let's not turn
this into another peeing contest over who has the hardest job, please. >

Here we go again! Is there any topic at all that will not bring arguments?
