There are articles today in The Electronic Times in London about the
maths program in England. I think this address will get you
there.(http://www.telegraph.co.uk/) The articles are discussing many
of the issues I have seen here. Basically they are saying that the
trendy programs are harming the schools there. There is also one on
calculator use in which primary schools are being discouraged from
using them. Teachers are not being blamed, but the curriculum is.
