I recently attend a workshop that used cooperative learning, literature,
manipulatives and writing to teach the math standards. Many of the recent
posts have asked for help in these areas. The wrokshops are offered nation
wide. I thought I would post information on who to contact to have such
workshops in your district. I attended the elementary workshop but the ad had
workshops from preschool to high school.

They are called Create A Vision Workshops. The person in charge of this
interesting and informative workshop is

Janet K Scheer, Ph.D The 800 number on her card is (800)795-9313

They are a division of Creative Publications and lovated in Mountain View
California the fax number is (415)988-1111.

For those wondering I am not connected with them in any way, and they have no
idea I am posting this. I spent 2 days at the workshop, learned many things,
received valuable materials, ideas, and methods. I just thought I let others
know about something good.
