Software for Problem Solving

I teach junior high mathematics and I have one parent that would like
some software that would help his 6th grade student in multiple step
problems. The student is ADD and is having a lot of trouble with any
word problem that requires more than one step.

Responses can be made to me personally, but I am sure some other people
would be interested in any software that you have used and have found to
be helpful.
