Hello FunPoW Friends,
The Math Forum has a mentor group from California State University at Chico that is working with students in the next Math Fundamentals Problem of the Week. It will go live on Oct 18 and is available for preview right now at http://mathforum.org/funpow/preview.ehtml?puzzle=246.
We will accept submissions to this Puzzle through October 31, 2004. Your students may submit solutions by visiting the main FunPoW page -
http://mathforum.org/funpow/
If your students get replies from mentors, we hope that they'll have an opportunity to revise their work based on the mentors' feedback. This will be beneficial for your students and especially beneficial (and exciting!) for the mentors.
The next two FunPows, available on Nov 1 and Nov 15, will also have mentor groups available.
We will be offering free mentoring whenever possible throughout the year. Look for the * in the puzzle name on the calendars).
If you have any questions, let us know at pow@mathforum.org
