Back to NCTM San Diego: Interdisciplinary Math

This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

This workshop will focus on ideas for creating, implementing, and assessing interdisciplinary units that are appropriate for elementary level classrooms. Participants will be furnished with several class-ready interdisciplinary units of varying grade levels that incorporate manipulatives and alternative means of assessment. Teachers with similar grade-level interests will also be given time to outline an interdisciplinary unit they can use in their own class.
