This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.
The session will describe how selected mathematics has been used by up to 65 different cultures of the world. The presenter will show how a language approach can bring this mathematics into the classroom. Handouts will be used to involve the participants in the session.
