Review based on: student observations |
Appropriate for: practice of skills and understandings |
Other Comments: This is a great tool for deepening their understanding. I loved being able to manipulate the spinner. However, I would consider showing the students fractions out of the whole for the results instead of a bar graph. Part-to-whole relationship would be much more effective. |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? Fractions and how they relate to probability and if a game is considered fair or unfair. |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? Clicking and reading directions. |
What extra things must be done to make it work? Change the spinner to illustrate what I wanted to show. |
How hard was it for you to learn? Very Easy |
Explanation: I loved how you could easily change the proportions of each color on the spinner. Very effective to show the kids how a game could be considered unfair. |
Ability to meet my goals: Effective |
