The activities are geared toward teachers, though the Pattern Block applet is a great tool to use with the students inorder to help them identify a triangle, rhombus, trapezoid, and hexagon.
What math does one need to know to use the resource?
The activities will be best utilized if the students have background knowledge of the names and attributes of shapes.
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource?
Use of mouse to click and drag. How to navigate within the applet.
What extra things must be done to make it work?
Teachers will have to gather materials like pattern shape tiles.
