I think explaining some one triangle as a figure comprising of three angles can
be easier [at least in an early stage of learning geometry] than knowing
triangle as a figure consisting of three sides. Later on triangles can be shown
as also figures consisting of three sides, and finally the relationship between
three sides and three angles.
