Opportunities

The Math Forum @ Drexel and Make It Real Learning (MIRL) have teamed up to provide you a discount on the engaging math activities in The Make It Real Learning Activity Library, Volume I.

Now you can answer the student question, "When am I ever going to use this?"

What's Hot?

[November 12] Equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages: Rod+1 announces, "This week I released a new interactive module to my Mathematics staff. It is a flash module that works really well with an Interactive Whiteboard. Its purpose is to help students picture the concept of equivalent fractions through the manipulation of fraction bars. They can also compare various fractions with percentages and decimals. I am making this freely available at my website."

[November 9] Mathmaster.org - a simple free site to generate maths worksheets: jlamber announces, "I am happy to announce that we released our website, Mathmaster.org, a free resource for teachers and parents. You can make an unlimited number of printable math worksheets for children, for the classroom or for homework practice."

[October 26] Calculating change when shopping: Rod+1 writes, "I had a teacher in my Mathematics department ask if I could develop some flash modules that help students practice calculating change when they go shopping."
