The Three Challenges

1.  Solve the following problem.  Using only 4 straight lines, without retracing, connect all the dots in a 3 by 3 dot grid.  You cannot lift your pencil off the paper.

2.  You are having a party with seven friends.  You bring out a beautiful round chocolate cake.  What is the minimum number of cuts you need to make in order that you and your friends should each have an equal share of the cake?

 

3.  Can you find an American city with four consecutive consonants in its spelling?
