Students with language related learning disabilites struggle with learning the concepts and there definitely is not enough practice. Learning does not "stick" And yes, parents are not encouraged or enabled to help their children. Many parents are hiring private tutors or sending their children to KUMON centers to enable their children to learn basic math facts and processes. The difficulty with the language in the word problems still exists and so their math education is fragmented.
