Subject: calculators in k-2 class
I use a paper calculator to teach how the real one works then have the
children race the real calculator. I have one child roll two dice and
add them up in his head. The second child adds up the numbers off the
dice on his calculator. The children that know the dotmath system can
beat the calculator. This game is lots of fun and helps the children
understand they can add faster than the calculator. For more
