Complex numbers ( complex exponential) are used in Fourier analysis,
Digital circuit and filter design and systems analysis, communication
and control systems, Laplace, stochastic processes, pattern
recognition, image processing....etc...this is by no means exhaustive
An easier question is "What aspects of Electronic engineering do not
use complex numbers?" 

Speaking as an former electronic engineer and research scientist.
