Subject: Re: pictures of parabolas


Try looking at sporting events, a long jumper, kicking a football or
rugby ball, golf ball etc. Other parabolas exist in the wires of
suspension bridges or hold a garden hose up and what do you notice in
the shape the water makes...yep a parabola. You may not notice this
one but the silver lining at the back of a car light is parabolic. you
find out why..
