Have you ever seen those mind reading cards, the ones that have the numbers on them. In the game, someone picks a number in secret, and then tells the "mind reader" only which of the cards contains the number? My fifth graders arefascintated by this trick. You could have your students work to figure out how it is done ( it has to do with the powers of 2.) -Gail, for the Teacher2Teacher service
