How soon you are able to get a GED depends upon many things, the most important of which is the number of high school classes you have successfully completed and how much of the material you remember. To get a better answer, call your local school district administrative office and ask to speak to someone in charge of the GED. This person will tell you where to apply, and where to find materials locally so that you can prepare to take the examination. You might find that there are evening classes available that you can attend to get help in preparing to take the exam. I wish you well.
