Since trigonometry involves the study of triangles and depends heavily on an understanding of angles, it would be very difficult to study it without first completing a course in geometry. Many of the special right triangle relationships which are introduced in geometry are pursued in greater detail in trigonometry. Geometry, therefore, should definitely be studied before trigonometry. - Pat
