When you go to edit pages you might want to try things out on the SandBox since it's for experimentation. There are very simple formatting rules at the links below. Although it is possible to use some HTML, this is not usually a good idea--some folks don't speak HTML so they won't follow your formatting and when they go to change your work they may screw it up.
