A wiki is a web site where everyone can easily edit every page. If you're unfamiliar with the idea, you'll probably find that it works better than you expect.
A wiki is a composition system; a discussion medium; a repository; a mail system; a tool for collaboration. Basically, it's a collection of easy to edit web pages which allows us to conveniently develop documents together and to discuss issues freed from the rigidities of threaded discussions.

Yes, anyone can modify any page. (Never fear, we can see and recover previous versions (TopAndBottomMenuItems) and if we are infected by irresponsible people we could even initiate a logon procedure.) So make changes and edits as you see fit--remembering that your contributions are likely to be edited and changed by others, so treat their work as you would like yours to be treated.

To try things out, please use the SandBox page.

DocumentAndDiscussionModes There are two basic wiki interactions, but they are informal and one can give rise to pages involving the other:

In addition, you sometimes pull things together and make a discussion flow smoother, help turn a discussion into an agreed-upon document, or constructively break up documents or discussions into different foci which emerge: RefactoringContent.

There are many Wikis out there. Our particular subspecies is [UseModWiki].
